Staff Sgt. Dylan Elchin, a graduate of Hopewell High School in Beaver, Pennsylvania, where he loved to build things in shop class, was engaged to marry Jordan Stigers next year. He was awarded the Bronze Star, Purple Heart and both the Army Commendation Medal with Valor and the Air Force Commendation Medal.
