Saints Andronicus, Athanasius and Junia, by an unknown iconographer. Athanasius, famous opponent of the Arian heresy, lived three centuries after St. Paul’s companions; an Orthodox polemicist apparently wants us to associate them with Athanasius and his faith-defining creed, but there’s no substantive connection; Junia and Andronicus were, like Paul, traveling evangelists. They even shared a prison cell with Paul at one point.
