Despite the election of Donald Trump in the U.S., low-wage workers and labour unions are continuing to push for a much higher minimum wage, dubbed the Fight for Fifteen (Dollars). McDonald’s employees took to the streets in New York City, while in Detroit and Chicago, workers walked off the job in the busiest airports. The four-year-old movement has won bigger paychecks in California, New York and scores of cities. Many of those protesting voted for Trump, who says the national minimum wage ($7.25) should be abolished. (Mark Lennihan/Associated Press)
