Shigeru Ban: Christchurch Cathedral, Christchurch, New Zealand, the famous cardboard cathedral that opened a few months ago, replacing the iconic building that gave the city its name was destroyed in the terrible earthquake three years ago. It’s made of incredibly reinforced cardboard, meant to last longer than the 50-year time span it will take for the Church to build a “real” stone one. Let us pray for the Church in New Zealand.
