St. Philip the Deacon, one of the “seven honest men” in Acts appointed as almsgivers in Jerusalem, continued his ministry and settled in Caesarea, where he hosted St. Paul; some sources say he eventually became Bishop of Lydia in Asia Minor. But he’s best known for explaining Christ and the prophets to a black, foreign, sexually variant Gentile, baptizing him into the Body of Christ. Thanks be to God! (artist unknown)
