Fr. Huntington’s greatest international impact is his authorship of the Chicago-Lambeth Quadrilateral, which sets out four broad bases on which the Anglican Communion discusses reunion with other Christian churches, and states a deep desire and commitment for the reunification of Christ’s Church. To reduce the Quadrilateral to its bullet points: the Scriptures, the Creeds, the Biblical sacraments, and the “historic episcopate, locally adapted.”
