The Cathedral of St. John the Divine, New York, will reopen the entire 601 feet of its nave for the first time since a devastating fire in 2001, and the organ will sound again tomorrow in time for the Church’s new year. Every one of the organ pipes had to be removed, cleaned and reinstalled.
