This blog exists to enable greater interaction among members of the Dailyoffice.org community and to make Morning and Evening Prayer accessible by RSS feed. When you have a reaction to the lections of the day (I love it! I hate it! I don’t understand it…) feel free to share your thoughts here by clicking on the Comment button.
For now, we are going to keep comments “open” to anyone who stops by and cares to make a statement. In time we will find out whether this policy works best or we need to ask people to register first (for example, if we get a lot of spam or hostility).
It is possible that one or more of our current Office websites will move here in the future. One domain is expiring on December 9, 2006 and another sometime in January. Each one costs money, each takes time and work every day, and I need to increase the sites’ efficiency to justify the resources put into them.
I thank God for the support these sites have received. I am humbled when people entrust us with their prayer requests. It is an amazing thing to enable people to pray to their God and Savior simply by running a website. And I am delighted to hear from you all. Church, as we know, is an interactive thing, because God is interactive; this is something non-believers don’t understand, that God is present in our lives and speaks to us if we’ll only listen. When we pray, God answers, and always speaks with love to us.
Time will tell whether this blog enables more interaction among us. I look forward to the possibility that as we speak to each other, the Holy Spirit will speak to us too.
Dear Lord, we dedicate this blog to your glory! Through Jesus Christ, Amen.
